The Clubs

The Museum traces the evolution of clubs from the creations of the bow-makers and the blacksmiths
to the mass-produced woods and irons of today.

The Ball

The history of the ball is also set out. From the "feathery" made of stitched hide filled with boiled feathers,
followed by the one-piece "gutta-percha" and the composition "guttie",
it brings us to the rubber-core ball which flew even better than its predecessors.

Personalities

The champions, the clubmakers. the players and the caddies are also featured.

The Costume

The change in clothing from ornate to practical is illustrated.

Golfiana

There are medals of silver and buttons of brass. There are paintings and post-cards,
pottery and peg-tees  - something to interest everyone.
